It can be strange going back to read, or edit my own books, but ahead of the release of the third book in my diesel-punk series, A Shadow on the Sky, I’ve been doing exactly that, reading and re-editing the first two books in the series.
I’ve just finished editing the second book in the series, as chance would have it, just two days after getting the final round of edits back from my editor for book 3 in the series, so I’ll be plowing on with even more edits soon, but in the meantime, its time for me to start uploading these revised editions to Amazon, Apple, Google etc, as well as creating a pre-order for book 3, so that everyone knows when it will be released.
Of course, once I’ve got the links to the latest editions and the pre-order sorted, I can also start contacting the various diesel-punk bloggers that I’m hoping will help me to promote these books, as well as getting a few paid for adverts sorted out.
It will be a busy few weeks, but it should all be manageable, and by Halloween I might even be able to start thinking about my next writing project. Do I go straight into book 4 of my diesel-punk story, which I’ve partly outlined, or do I take a break from my existing story-lines to start a new one, which I’ve also partly outlined….
Decisions, decisions.
